How to rename my Beatscape samples

Hi all,
I have a question regarding samples for Beatscape. Didn't see a Beatscape-specific forum so posting here. I did check the BS help but didn't see it addressed.
I have created several of my own programs and added rx samples to my program directory in Beatscape. All is good, I can see the samples when I click on the User tab and I can load the programs fine from the Program tab. What I'd like to do is rename the samples with a more "friendly" name.  For example,  if you load a sample to a Beatscape pad from the media browser, it adds the name of your project in front of the sample.  For instance, project name is "XI Test 7".  I added a sample: "fhg_per_130_congafill.rx2"  The name of the sample is now:

"XITEST7.fhg_per_130_congafill.rx2".

Obviously this long name will not fit on a pad. I'd like to rename it something like "conga_fill".  Was looking for a right-click/properties to rename but not set up that way.  I cannot seem to locate the list of rx samples from my Beatscape user directory in my windows browser to work with from there. I can only see the factory content when I search for .rx2 files.

you can rename them BUT beatscape won't be able to find them IF you rename them and try to load in an old tune where you haven't updated things.also remember to refesh the browser (f5)

Where do I access them to rename them? Where can I "see" them in a writable mode? I can see them in my user list within Beatscape but I cannot rename them there.

I installed the Beatscape library on an separate drive so i don't know where the default location is, but in windows, do a search for Beatscape Factory Content and it should find it. You can rename the  files there.

EDIT: Sorry, i just re read your post so the above might not apply. I'll look into it.

Is fhg_per_130_congafill.rx2 a user sample? As in it's not in the factory content?

If so, try doing a windows search for that file and it will show you what folder it's in and you can rename it there.

access them via windows explorer.. you could just do a search for *.rx2

or the specific file and it'll find it.. depends on you OS also.

navigate to ya x86 program files.. cakewalk ... beatscape.. and then off there you should find library or content and they'll be off that..

errm and when you start beatscape again press f5 and it should re-search your files.. and update the list accordingly
