It looks like everything has to be downloaded and installed again. has anyone done this upgrade yet. If so are there any warnings or tips?

    Hi Glyn,

You can install the update over an existing install (plugin first... then the Atlantis module)

To my ears, the Atlantis module sounds more realistic in some ways... and very artificial in others.
The lower mid section notes... and higher notes played staccato sound artificial to me.
    Overall... I prefer the Diamond/Jazz

Being that this is a preview release... I'm sure 4-Front will further tweak the module before releasing True Pianos v2.

    Best Regards,

Thanks Jim.  Its installed and working now.

I have had a quick play, the Atlantis module certainly has it moments and with a bit of tweaking could be very nice indeed. The lower velocities on the lower octaves don't sound quite right to me at the moment.

Edit - Operator error I am afraid. I was using two keyboards to get the full 88 note range and the XP-10 I was using for the bass was feeding a low level acoustic guitar sound into the mixer.

    Hi,

I would suggest finding optimal keyboard dynamics and floor slider settings as these settings do not specifically match with previous modules. Atlantis certainly is not artificial compared to other modules.

Here is an example of somebody playing different styles on it with proper settings:
