Question for the ZED R-16 owners...........

Reading on their web site..........the features of this board say, you can record  up to 26 tracks simultaneous with the use of Adat.     Has anyone recorded live 24 track with the use of 8 channel adat and the 16 channels on the mixer.     I have and use a Mackie Onyx and a Alesis HD24, but looking for another remote rig.  
It has to be 24 channels............:)

    I have a ZED-R16 but haven't tracked anything more than about 8 or 9 at once yet. The 26 tracks referred to will be the 16 mono channels of the main board + the stereo pair = 18 + it is possible to connect 8 more inputs via the ADAT connection.

    That whole lot gets fed down the firewire. I haven't actually tried it though so can't vouch for how well it would work. The ZED-R16 in general though gets a up from me. The EQ especially is superb and can be sent to the firewire buss for recording or just monitored if preferred. A great bit of kit.

    Sorry I can't be more help with your specific question. I don't think there are many of us that use one on here. BretB does and I'm sure there are a few others. Have you asked over at Gearslutz? There's a huge thread on the R16 over there

    I have never used the ADAT.  Only firewire and about 10 channels at one time.  If they say it can, it should.  It has done everything else promised.  Good luck.
