PDF Reference Guide
I must say I really am Liking the PDF of X1 , Very easy to read, and to find what your looking for. Personally I think CW has done an excellent job with it.. Can't wait to see what Scott add's to his book.. Looking forward to it.

I agree. The PDF is always open, at least for now while I am learning where all the levers are... I may print the PDF off and get it spiral bound at my local FedEx/Kinkos. Have done that with Cubase, Maschine, Kore2, etcetera. I suppose I could also transfer it to my Nook...although PDFs don't usually show up as well as the regular "book" format.

ba_midi Yeah, and hopefully they'll get the 'corrected' version out to us one day too ;) Oh, man, don't say that! I just printed out a good portion of the manual (double sided), leaving out some sections I had no immediate interest in like surroung mixing. Even with the omissions, the thing occupies two 2 inch binders. Heck, it took my 30 minutes just to run all the pages through a 3-hole punch. Don't tell me I'm going to have to that all over again! Seriously, though, for a doc junkie, this is sweet. I work in front of a computer screen all day long. When I come home at night, it's nice to be able to plop down and pick up something to read without having to do so at the computer.

No real biggies though, to my knowledge. And I actually keep a copy right on my DAW desktop and my "to the side" laptop (where I do my posting here, for example -- it's to my right at my DAW) and on my main business machine desktop. I like having it handy as you can tell :) I've always been a manual/documentation junkie anyway.

BTW, a couple of generous users created bigger/better keyboard shortcut reference docs in various formats ... check out this thread: http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?m=2179057 I've been hosting the files (they're virus checked of course). I thank them - and they are useful to all, I think.
