My problem with X1 is monitor related....

My main problem with X1 is that my monitor is still not quite at the correct height.  I've got Sonar 6, 8, AND X1 stuffed up under my monitor, but it's still just a little too low to see Sonar 5 correctly.

I need one more non-useable version of Sonar to stuff up under there....THEN my neck won't hurt so much.

Sonar 7 should do the trick... Or better yet, how about a few old magazines?

But seriously, Sonar 5 is getting pretty out-dated at this point, right? I'd like to think at some point the Bakers will get X1 to the rock-solid place that older versions of Sonar are in!

Well if X1 is unusable for you you need to go to the general SONAR Producer and Studio forum, rather than hang around here as we're all trying to use X1 and it doesn't have a very big manual to put under a monitor. It does have a nice box, though I'm not sure it will take the weight of a monitor. Perhaps when SONAR Power X1 comes out it should be a monster size book that should be able to prop up a monitor; maybe even 2 or more. Scott should be along in a few minutes and he can tell you.

Another suggestion before you scamper off to the right forum: print out all 1800 pages of the X1 reference .pdf file and you'll be able to fine tune your monitor's vertical height resolution to within the thickness of a sheet of paper. Now that's fine control if you ask me.

No wonder people say the SONAR forum is one of the most helpful around. You've not only been told where to go, but what to do when you get there. All the best with your new forum and your ongoig monitor project. Let us know what you decide to do. Of course post that in a new thread in the appropriate forum if you don't mind.

Why not stick your head under it since you're not using it for anything else?

See my avatar, my two raised monitors are actuallly standing on two batons of wood in turn standing on two empty shoe boxes.
