Sonar 8.5 64 bit and uad1 plugins

Hi to all, i'm having problems getting my ua plugins to work in sonar 8.5 running at 64 bit.
I open one plugin and it works, but then i go to open an other and it gives me this message: "Sorry, one or more powered plugin-ins have been disabled. The uad1 is already been used by another application."
Can someone help!

I had to roll back from 5.8 and return to 5.7. There were problems in my system which has a mix of the UAD1 and the UAD2. Same thing, it would only load one instance of a plugin.

I did find that playing with the Bitbridge Server settings i.e. going from Automatic to a designated server and vice versa, got me going but the next time I loaded the project I would have to the opposite way with the settings.

    Here's the deal....
The drivers for the CARD ITSELF are 64bit, but the plugs themselves are 32bit, which means you'd have to use Bit Bridge to make them work. This will probably cause some CPU hit as well. I researched the same thing already in the UA forums before installing. So, for right now, I'm on Win7 64 bit, running Sonar 32bit.

I'm sorry does this mean I need to install Sonar as a 32 bit version to get more than 1 UAD effect to run at a time?   Or is there someway I can tell each plug-in to run as 32 bit.

    No.

32 bit plugs run in 64 bit Sonar using Bitbridge.

Hmm, well then I'm not sure what to do.   I tried assigning the UAD programs to their own bit bridge in the plug in manager, I also tried assigning them to seperate ones, no luck.

What version of UADs software? What version of Sonar? 5.8 has some issues, I had to roll back to 5.7. Of course you loose the studder in 5.7 but is was much more stable.

I finally got it working, I wasn't deleting my first plug when making the changes.   So I deleted both, changed bit-bridge setup, and then installed both, and they worked.

Hopefully they stay that way, cause this is a pain.

Do the track and file gui labels show up in the UAD plug-ins. Mine don't running Win7/64 and 8.5.3 with UAD 5.8

The solution is - jBridge  $20

UAD-2 plug-ins are 32 bit. BitBridge handles them but doesn't pass the right GUI data in Sonar 64 bit mode.

Install jBridge and configure each plug-in to use jBridge

    Tools. Cakewalk Plug-in Manager...VST effects...(select each plug-in)

VST Plug-in Properties..."Load using jBridge wrapper"

You have to experiment with the jBridge options.  Worked for an hour of testing across the Neve and Manley Massive plug-ins.

Reporting back - this solution is not very good. Causes distortion, screen jumping and loss of plugin resolution. Working with UAD on it but not looking good.
