Midi Outputs

Just installed X1 but I keep geting the message that I have not chosen any midi outputs. I check the boxes (Edit/Preferences/Midi/Devices)again and again and keep getting the same message. I can't get them to stick. I installed the latest M-Audio drivers for both ,but still have the same problem. Anybody else have this problem?

I think I had the same issue when I installed X1 - make sure that your M-Audio is recognized by Windows and is your default midi out.  For some reason I think mine had gone to the ol' Wavetable, but the "only use default" button had remained checked!

Ya know, I just realized that that situation occured in my old computer running XP on a Pentium 4!
I have the new Windows 7 rig up and runningg, but haven't installed Sonar on it yet!

Not at home now - but it should be in  "Sounds and Audio Devices" accessed through the control panel. There should be a check box for using default devices only (and selecting your playback device) in there.
