Track Manager is Simply Not Working In the Console View - Any Help? (Worked Around)

It seems that everything was going great until I tried the Track Manager in the CV and it all fell to pieces. I'll check tracks I want visible and they'll show up - or not. I

I'll uncheck them and they're still their, or they'll change behind the scenes in Track View - its' making me nuts and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Anyone else seeing this behavior?

It's not working in the X1 default Normal file either.

It seems this would have come a LOT of times so I'm thinking I'm doing something wrong but I'm simply clicking 'H' for the track manger clicking tracks on and off and it is behaving very erratically or not at all.

Does anyone have time to try this?

Here's an simple example from X1's default Normal Template

Tracks unchecked - hit enter and they stay visible. What am I missing?

I don't know if it's related to what you're seeing, but I'm finding that every time I open Track Manager, it always gives focus to the TV, even if you have CV maximized, so I have to physically click on a strip in CV before opening the track manager, otherwise I'll be showing/hiding tracks in the TV. And this is assuming the checkbox for "Keep track/console visibility states in sync" is unchecked.

at the bottom of your track manager window you don't have "keep track and console in sync" checked
    I think that's the problem

Thanks SO much for the help StepD - that seems to have done it.

It seems a bug of sorts where the focus stays on the TV no matter which view you're in - unless you click in the current view.

Maybe intended? Definitely awkward, and one additional step.

Thanks brammer but in this case I don't want the two synched. Clicking on the console view BEFORE going to the track manager solved it but it is NOT very intuitive and downright clumsy.

Yeah, even if it's the way the windowing system is supposed to work, they should definitely figure out a way to give focus to a maximized dock. In this case, tracks can accidentally be shown or hidden in the TV, but there might other functions that could cause even more serious problems.
