Wow! it took me only a few seconds to realize: STOP the song, TURN THE SPEAKERS UP, and start it over. Sounds great all around on my Tannoy nearfields.

Cian sounds great and has a nice melody line, and it's the true, signature James Yoyo parts that surprise the listener, like the cool changes at the guitar solo.

You better hope Rundgren doesn't start ripping YOU off!

Nicely done as always...Kudos to Cian too!

Excellent!!! I like the layering. Pretty cool tune. The only thing I didn't like was the snare sound. Just doesn't sound real. Is it real or a patch?

Thanks for sharing!!

Peace!!

All the drums are Superior Drummer. Perhaps a tad too much reverb for your taste?

The lead and backup vocals are dreamy. And he made this up without any direction, just the music? Now that's talent!

Why do you think I wanted to work with him?  Cian has a gift for melody I wish I had.

Kiki:

Glad you liked it. I totally dug how that guitar lead part is a separate piece unto itself, yet sits nicely in the whole.

I agree with the U2/REM type reference.  Very cool song and great production as always.  Nice job James and Cian!

Cliff:

I should post my original version without any vocals, in all its U2-ripoff glory! My next tune is another U2 homage, but I wrote the melody and sang most of it (Cian stepped in and came up with the chorus melody, and was kind enough to sing it), and it definitely shows its influences.

Mike, Daryl:

Thanks. I wish I was a good enough guitar player (like you guys)  to be able to record actual amp playing, since even the best SimAmps still sound kinda thin. But alas, the product of a wasted youth yet again resurfaces!

Terrific job, James. First of all, great name. Great guitars. Solid bass and drums. More than U2, it reminds me of XTC, one of my favorite bands. In any event, I love it.

Hi, James,

How's it going, buddy?  Doing great, I hope!

This is really a fantastic song!  I absolutely love the "edgy" guitar work and Cian's vocals are excellent.  The mix is clean and wide, and very pro sounding, too boot!

Really outstanding job on this, have a good one, buddy!

Really awesome tune Cian's vocals were superb and a top notch sounding production. +1 for the U2/REM and perhaps even a bit of Duran Duran sound. Really enjoyable.

Great work, definitely hear the U2 influence, guitar work is outstanding.  Really nice melody/hook, vocals and production is super slick.  I can see where people don't hear U2 because you've put a very prominent pop vocal performance over the background, but still very U2ish.  Nice work.
