Trouble installing Sonar Home Studio 4

Hi,

After having not much luck with Sonar LE, due to output and input difficulties I have found my old sonar home studio 4 programme. I have been trying to install it on my laptop and I can't install it with the DSDXI Synth, because my laptop comes up with a message saying I don't have the permissions, sound or whatever to do so. But I can put it on without the DXi synth but the thing is the bounce the track in the edit box is highlighted in grey, do I need to use the DXi synth in order to bounce a track from MIDI, I have a Yamaha PSR - 313 keyboard and I have new interface Edirol UA-25EX if anyone can help me it will be greatly appreciated and lastly I have windows vista.

No, you don't need DreamStation to bounce to tracks.
If you're using any soft synth to hear your MIDI and want to bounce it to an audio track, select both the MIDI track and the synth track while holding down the computer keyboard's Ctrl key. Then click Edit>Bounce to Track(s).

Also, for installing programs, make sur you are logged in as an administrator, open the DVD/CD drive, locate the Setup.exe, right click it, and select run as administrator. Running as ad ministrator to enable you to install your software without any error messages which say you don't have permission.

If that doesn't work, disable User Account Control, if on Vista or Win 7, restart the PC, and try the above again. After the software installs correctly, you can re-enable user account control. Remember to restart the PC after disabling or re-enabling user account control.
