Guitar Rig 3 and sonar 8.5

Hi to all, im having problems getting sound out of my guitar Rig 3 that came with the sonar 8.5,this is what i'm doing i'm opening it up as a plugin and running the dry guitar in a different track,then is press the echo button on both tracks and i cant turn it up much because i get a loud feedback and i can not hear the guitar rig much at all.
Am i doing it right? any help would be great.

I run the guitar into an audio track and put Guitar Rig in the FX bin with echo on.
