I was going to pick Nectar up last night ($199 price), but I tried to use the vocal doubler in both 32 and 64-Bit Sonar PE8.5, and it caused my CPU meter to peg, with dropouts and distortion - Mixing/Tracking mode made no difference, neither did increasing latency. The particular project was all audio (~18 tracks) - 24 bit/88.2. It behaved the same on my i3 based laptop and i7 based DAW (different audio interfaces on both, 4 & 9GB respectively). I'm using ASIO driver mode on both machines - I didn't bother to try WDM.
I own several iZotope products, but this one appears half baked.
