All this talk about X1 is giving me a headache ... see you folks again when X2 is released
Wow ..... all this discussion over X1 has given me a headache and sucked me into too much time wasted on the Forum sharing comments and experiences.
I don't recall any new release from Cakewalk creating this much negativity among existing customers.
But I share some of the empty feelings and lack of enthusiasm from what I have seen so far.
My mind is 100% made up now.
I am staying with my rock solid, glitch free, faithful and reliable SONAR 8.3 for now.
I am going to totally skip the growing pains that are sure to accompany the "birth of X1" and stay on the sidelines until this new series has had a chance to mature and get ironed out.
I have faith Cakewalk will have the new SONAR X-series DAW better refined in a year's time ....... and HOPEFULLY, they will also be able to revamp the visual appearance of the interface and move away from X1's horribly bad clone of the gray and blue monochromatic CGA-style "Presonus Studio One" look.
Yuk !
Good luck to all of you, and worry not -- I have been a SONAR user since SONAR 3.0 (when I left the analog tape world) and will continue to be a SONAR user.
But X1 is not for me at this point in time.
Where there is smoke, there is fire.
I don't have the time to get burnt when I have a current system that has NEVER crashed or let me down yet.
No sense to tempt fate when I don't have to.
Change CAN be good ---- but it is not always good by default. (smile)
See you guys next year when X2 or X3 is released.
Bye for now.
