Sonar

X1 and Blue screen
I have had major Blue screen ever since I switched to X1. I use native instruments (Kontakt) which used to cause Sonar 8 to lock up once in a while but now I can't use it at all hardly and the blue screen comes even when I am not using it. I have Vista 64 bit and I have a ton of plugins that I got over the years but besides Kontakt none of them seem to cause special trouble. Even just closing X1 sometimes causes a blue screen that reboots the computer. I tried; turning off user account control, turning off anti virus, turning off windows defender.

If I work with only midi it seems to be O.K. usually just std audio is also O.K. Native inst stuff is definately a problem, doing button pushes too fast is also definately a problem. The blue screen gives a long list of numbers but goes away and reboots before I can read it.

would windows 7 help me out at all??? I got X1 on the deal where you upgrade to 8.5 (from 8) and then you get X1 for free, I never even used 8.5 and never upgraded that version before upgrading to X1, could that somehow have screwd me up???

Intel Xeon quad core, 4 gig ram, vista 64 bit, sonar X1 producer, EMU 1212 card.

I am afraid to even use X1 for critical recording sessions.

Do you have the x64 version of Kontakt? Might make a world of difference.
