Importing a mp3 and matching it to the BPM?

Good evening all,

I haven't posted here in awhile but am starting to get stumped again.

I would like to basically import a song in mp3 and line it up within Home Studio 6.  The mp3 is at 87 bpm and would like to match it up in HS at the same tempo.  Any advice is appreciated.

    match it up to what?  do you already have other tracks in the project?  if not, simply change the bpm in the transport to 87.  if this mp3 is the only track in the project, it doesn't matter if you change the tempo before or after the import of the mp3.
