By any chance are you working in x64 and using x86 synth? If so yes, I've had this issue (kore 2 to be exact)

nope.. xp x32. its happened sooo many times. this and so many weird issuses. I cant wrap my head around the problem. I thought I had a solution but that was futile. saddly I reinstalled everything starting from the os. wiped it all clean. I contemplated not even installing x1. I guess I'm a masochist. and I thought I was a sadist

Oh wow. That is a serious issue. I have not had any issues (see my spec below) with native x64 plugs....and believe me, they run/loop continuously (it's common for me to have loops of ideas running in the background as I post)

my systems no slouch though. its ready to go x64 ( i went 64 but that was in xp 64- dropped that)
dual, dual core xeon's  fsb 1334 4g's ram. the processors are not even working hard. running as low as 128 buffers asio. that 7.9 sec round trip. the interface is the Tascam 1884 (a quirky f'er) but I dont see that as the issue.

it's all good. thanks for replying. I sometimes feel that everyone blocked me already.

I had played a big hand in the original coffee house fiasco ...(very regrettably)/.... nevemind..

seems like x1 has become the other coffee house at the moment.  I wont get caught up this time. LOL

I experienced a similar problem as detailed in this thread:
    http://forum.cakewalk.com/tm.aspx?m=2167899

I downloaded the X1a  patch, installed same, the problem has yet to reappear.     For me, that was the fix.   Your milage may vary.
