Im having a problem

I was working on a beat with my V-studio 100 in act mode. That means it is the daw controller while I use the program on my computer. At the same time I was downloading the latest version of Itunes for a friend who has no internet. At some point during the downloading near the end Sonar asked me "If I would like to save." I said yes not knowing what was going to happen and then sonar closed. When I re-opened the program after wards and everytime since then "ACT mode" button does not light up and V-Studio hardware will not perform it's task while attached to the computer. Any suggestions at how I may fix this?

Sounds to me like V-Studio is not getting recognized by either your computer - or by your DAW. This can be common with the V-Studio. Here is how I deal with it when I lose connectivity.

1: Turn off the V-Studio (when your DAW is closed)
2: Reboot the computer (not always necessary)
    3: Turn on the V-Studio
    4: Open your DAW
5: If the DAW still cannot see your V-Studio, check the settings in the DAW. It might need to be re-assigned. What version of Sonar are you using? I'm not sure about the smaller versions, but in Studio and Producer you just need to re-assign the DAW in the Control Panels window.

    Good luck!
