Sync Issues with VG99

Hi,
 
Just got the V-Studio 700 and hooked it up to my VG99 V-Guitar using the coax digital. When I do this, iTunes goes on mute both when sycned nternall and on digial. Anyone have any idea on how to resolve this. Thanks.
