Pro audio 9 - I have a problem with..

Hi there,
When I open any MIDI file, so I is not playing anyloud-speakers from the sound of nothing. when I was still Midi cable, so to me it was quite normal, as the keyboard and my Loudspeakers ... I have the same problem in the second program Sibelius ..

Do you know someone, please, what could it be?
For information, I have Windows XP ..

    Leecek, in case you are trying to use software synths in Pro Audio 9, that will not work.  PA9 was the last version of Cakewalk made before VST support was added.

    Is your audio card being recognized in Options- Audio?

    i tried running pro audio 9 on windows seven...it ran smooth as silk..but no effects..not sure why?
