Don't listen to posts telling you not to listen to someone. Rats! I just nullified my own post! This would appear to be a case of Art imitating Life. Of course, by referring to my post as "Art", I've just insulted Artists everywhere. They would tell you, in very snooty tones, not to listen to me, then they would paint something inscrutable, name it "Untitled", and then promptly starve to death, thus magically increasing the value of the painting. In a way, their Art only came to Life after their Death. I was debating this with a mirror one day, when a mime told me not to listen to myself. My mirror-self didn't listen and zipped the mime's mouth shut, which seemed rather pointless to me. I didn't pay attention, because I was staring at the painting in the mirror, which actually made much more sense now. I'm not sure what just happened, but I suggest that you don't listen to me telling you not to listen to posts that tell you not to listen to someone. (Or am I?)

Welcome, dacookster. Your first mission, should you choose to accept it, is to try and post something so dry and boring that Mooch and Bapu won't bother hijacking it. Perhaps a discussion of the merits of the SSE2 instruction set in the context of floating-point audio processing efficiency.

Perhaps a discussion of the merits of the SSE2 instruction set in the context of floating-point audio processing efficiency. Some of those can be fun too, no discrimination between specific fetishes here. I don't think anybody has once made me feel my predisposition for moss and lichen is in anyway odd, except perhaps when I've been seen to veer a little too close toward algae on occasion. Mind you you'll probably better served loitering by the kerb in the Techniques Forum if that's the kind of specialist bag you are into...

hahha---I'm laughing my ass off. Nice difference from all the anger in the X1 forums, and I'll own my bit of contribution to it, and subsequent 'crow eating' from lack of MIDI knowledge. But things are now straightened out, and maybe one of these day's I'll actually buy a midi/usb interface, and use the Korg Triton that I just use to entice girls into my 'lil home studio. My avatar is my dog, Vader, whom I lost to cancer in June. Sweetest pup ever, unless you were a cat. I'll change my avatar soon with my other Husky, Koba, but I felt I needed to show some respect to Vader's memory. Screen name comes from my nickname, although I'm told the DEA might be keeping tabs on me for the name, and living in Iowa. Ha ha---anyway, last name is Cook, and got nickname in college from the SNL skit that started the catchphrase of everything being 'da-xxxx' Glad to be here, been lurking a bunch when I have issues....uh....well, don't ask my girl what those issues are!, but yeah, decided to be more active in the community now. Oh yea---I live in Iowa City, IA, so.............. GO HAWKS!
