Jim Croce meets ZZ Top (your gonna love this mash)

Here is another band demo from a great jam put together by the brilliant mind of Ronny Gray.. A dear friend and awesome guitar player, singer in the blues band I'm in.. We were just just jamming around in the garage one day and this evolved out thin air... Enjoy...

Very cool indeed.  It's oh so much better than the Croce version!!!  I love the boogie feel to your rendition.  Very nice vocals and some hot ZZ licks by Mr. Grey.  It sure makes me want to grow a long beard .
    Great job.

Thanks everybody.. I loved this since Ronny came up with it.... As far as guitar on this one ..It's me and the 3rd guitar player who did the leads.. Ronny just held the tune together and sang as awesome as usual.. I have one band that is a 3 piece ( if you remeber the trower song I posted) and this band is actually a 6 piece band..3 guitarist..We all are lead players.. You would think it would cause attitude , but you would be surprised at how well we all get along and how much fun we have... There is another vocalist in the band that has a very unique but wonderful voice. I need to post a tune or two that sings lead on.. Im at work right now...I can't even stream to  listening to any of you guys ... I have to do that at home.. :-(
Thanks again everyone.. I thought this one would bring a smile...
Robby , don't hang your head brother...Just be patient with your self .. Learn your monitors...they will lie to you....learn what you can by listening elswhere .. reference your mixes on several different stereos if you can ..Including the cheapest cd boom box you can find.. It has been said if you put your music on a 20 dollar walmart cd boom box and can hear everything.. You've done a good job on the mix... Then your off to learn the mastering process.. Which is the rutt Im stuck in now...LOL.. Chin up brother.. YOU CAN DO IT !!!!
    Please excuse spelling

    Robby,
Another helping hand in the mixing department is to find a recording  that you really like the production of.Preferrably in the same genre that you are recording... Load a couple of the tracks from that record into your system and reference to them and see if you can match or even come close to what you here in those mixes... If your monitors are lying to you.. They will be lying in those mixes also... So if you match up to what you hear in your mixes to those.. You'll be surprised at what they sound like elsewhere. !!!!
I hope I made sense with this rant ....LMAO

What to say?  This song is cool, and the mix is fantastic.  I can hear all the elements of the mix clearly, and it is warm and punchy.  Good performances all the way around.

DUDE! I could not help it.....I cranked it up (on Cheap PC speakers) and boogie woogied all over my studio!!!

the only thing that could improve this would be to let mR Govely voice sings this......then you got it!!...not that ronnie did a bed job....OH no he did a very fine job.....but Mr. Grovel voice would just ace it.!! (at least for me!)

You guys did a fine job with this great tune.  I really like the pure mix.
The guitar in the center for the solo sounds like a strat...actually the one on the left does too ( i love'em).
