A-Pro800 & Digital Perfomer 7.22 on OS X 10.6

Hi,

I have just bought an A-Pro800 to use with MOTU Digital Performer 7.22 on OSX 10.6.5, the decider for me was that it came with control maps for DP7.

Well the good news is, the supplied control maps work, Play, Stop, Rwd, Fwd, Rec, Rtn to Zero, Rotaries for Pan, Faders for Mixer all work. But I have tried time and time again using the A-Pro Editor to assign to the unused controls, for example 'Pause' is not assigned in the DP maps so I have tried to assign this to Pause in DP, in DP I set up a midi note for transport pause in the Midi commands window, then I assign the note number to the Pause button in the A-Pro editor, load the map to the A-Pro800, the A-Pro is transmitting the correct midi message but nothing happens in DP. I have even tried setting the Pause button to play, copying all the settings in the A-Pro editor from the Play button to the Pause button but again nothing happens when the Pause button is pressed.

Basically any changes I make to the maps do not work, even through the A-Pro is transmitting the correct messages.

Any ideas anyone, I guess not many DP/Mac users here:-) I have posted over at the DP forum and one guy with a PCR-800 tried to help me but we still could not get it to work.

Thanks

Steve
