Didi it ever work or did you just install it for the first time? Did you install in the default folders?

    Thanks for reply

Sorry, should have explained better. Yes, it has been installed for some time and worked fine. The only thing I have installed since the last time I use it is was the demo of (sorry bakers) Presonus Studio One. Don't know if this has anything to do with it, but it's the only thing I can think of that has changed. I've removed PSO and unistalled / reinstalled 8.5. Made no difference.

I had the same thing happen after installing the  PSO demo.  Haven't been able to fix it yet though 8.5 & X1 will run if you use Run As Administrator.  I'm running Win7 32 bit.

Yeah, that works - didn't think of trying that. Thanks Dan ! When I saw the amount of replies v the amount of views I was beginning to think it was another of those "just me" occurences, that I seem to have from time to time. I'm sorry that it happened to you too, but also glad I'm not the only one if you know what I mean.

Thanks again - you're a star ! Let me know if you ever figure out how to put it properly right.

Well I got mine running normally again now.  You can try what I did and see if it fixes it for you.  Navigate to C:\ProgramData\  UAC will probably put up a dialog that you don't have the correct permissions to view the directory, click continue to get the rights, open the \Identities folder and the folder inside it (You'll probably get the UAC prompt again).  You can close Explorer now and try and run Sonar it should work again without needing Run As...
