My nephew keeps talking all this slang, it's starting to make my fingers sore searching on google.

    What is a "Shazizzle"?

In construction parlance "pookie" is any tar-like sealant slathered on heavily.

I want to hear your opinion on the definition on something new, because if it's NEW then you have a say so in the terminology!

I've lived in Scotland 9 years, and I hear new slang terms all the time. The latest one was 'skelf', for splinter. As in ''Ooh noo, ah got a skelf in ma hond!!'

I understood "skelf" - just not the other words.

Roughly 10 years ago, I was on a golf trip to South Carolina with some buddies. One night we ventured off the island to go food shopping at the local Piggly Wiggly. When we got to the checkout counter, there was a young girl ringing up our food, and I noticed she had these really long fake fingernails with a leopard skin design on them. Here is the conversation that ensued.

Me: Wow, those are some wild fingernails you have.
Her: Yeah, but I gotta get'em done because these (showing left hand) are broken.
    Me: What happened to those?
Her: I hit my boyfriend and they got broke.
    Me: What did he do?
Her: He wiped his "pookie" with my shirt.
    Me: What's a pookie?
Her: Ya'll aren't from around here are ya!

Hm.  I didn't know they'd get upset about that.  Wish someone had told me 20 years ago!

      I hate Slang!

That's just plain rude when spoken in front of others who don't know what your talking about IMO. What are you trying to hide if you are doing so? That's the whole point. No need in that kinda junk.

    Just My Opinion,
