i'm not following you.  if your song is at 120  and step is 120  what did you double to 240?   the song or the step?  or both?  are you trying to make something play in doubletime or something?

I'm not sure I follow. I use the step sequencer quite a lot and I couldn't swear to it but I'm sure the step sequencer follows the song tempo.

So double the tempo in the step sequencer and you are doubling the song tempo. Any synth or effect that is synced to the song will follow.

What you are seeing is what I would expect to see.

Why do you need to double just the step sequencer? If you aren't seeing enough steps just add some more. The controls for that are at the top left of the window.

try changing the meter in your song to 8/8 instead of 4/4..

    that will double your timing.

is that what you want to do?

If you need better resolution in the Step Sequencer, increase the # of steps found in the top left of the SS. The timing of the song remains, but you will be able to get a lot more detail into the sequencer.

Don't fix it in the mix ... Fix it in the take!
