Moving Folders/Tracks in Track View

Is anyone having as much trouble as I am in arranging folders with tracks in them or even tracks...in Track view?

I am trying to move certain tracks or folders up or down and when I click on the track/folder in the correct spot as it used to be in 8.5 it turns black and then the entire track across turns black and when I drag up or down that all turns black. Then when I scroll my mouse all of the information disappears in the left pane but you can see the wave and midi files on the right pane.

Not sure if I am explaining this right but it really weird.

Do I need a new decoder ring for X1?

The more I use X1 the more I really don't like it at all. It seems like this was designed for the convenience of a notebooks small screen.

I have been trying to give it a chance but I am finding myself wasting too much time trying to figure out ****. This is really starting to aggravate me. I am glad I have 8.5 to go back to.

Oh yeah...another question...where is the save icon? Is there a way to have this on the screen in a toolbar?

Thanks, John

    1. When moving tracks/folders... click and drag the small icon to the right of the track number. Do not click/drag the track number or the blank space next to it. That is for selecting tracks.

    2. No, the Control Bar takes the place of all toolbar and there is no longer a button for saving. You can use File > Save or press Ctrl+S.

You must be happy...I'm gonna have to buy another one of your books.

I don't have time to sit in front of the PC all day to figure it out live so the book I can move around if you know what I mean. LOL!
