Bug with Mute tool ?

Hi,

it seems it worked before X1a : when I select Mute Tool, I have to hold Alt key to have it work. I don't have the mute icon when I select the Mute tool, I juste have the classic arrow that allows me very randomly to mute the clip by clicking on it without holding Alt ?!

Thanks.

It works as expected for everyone or it's a known bug ?

Works for me fine but there are 2 'modes' for the mute tool - there's an erase mode and 'mute' mode.  Press F10 to cycle.

Yes the erase mode works fine. What happens when you hold Alt key in Mute mode please ?

Holding Alt brings me a windows arrow allowing me to move clips etc.

That I believe is by design. Note that default behaviour with no Alt depends whether the cursor is in the top or bottom half of the clip.

The 'new' mute tool got me at first. If you double click below the line a clip gets muted. If you double click above the line, the clip gets unmuted. PF10 alternates between delete and mute. If you select a range of clips and press 'K' they get muted and unmuted accordingly.

I would rather have the old 'K' sets single clip mute instead of having to go to a dialog and then double click. A lot of the new functionality is a little cumbersome compared to the 'old' way.

It seems there's two different behaviours. At home, it works like Guitarmech11 :

    - without Alt : If you double click below the line a clip gets muted and if you double click above the line, the clip gets unmuted but sometimes, I see the Mute tool icon that appears for a very, very short time and I can mute the clip with one click (but not when the icon appears, it's too short. It's randomly so I think there's a bug somewhere)
    - with Alt : if cursor is below, I can select a part of the clip to mute it and if it's above, I unmute a part. Clicking once mutes/unmutes the clip

Perhaps, there's something to change in Preferences cause it seems to me that it worked like FastBikerBoy before X1a.

    Strange.
