Changing multiple track settings all at once??

This is not particular to X1 but a problem I've had for quite a while now in the 8s all the way to X1 is that when I insert a new audio track or a softsynth with multiple audio tracks they all get assigned to my Vocal Buss by default.  I'm sure I did something way back when to cause this but I have no clue what.  I quite literally have to go in and change them all to Master...or Drum...or whatever everytime I insert some.  I would like for them to default to Master.  How do I set this up??  Plus (ignorance again) if I click on all the tracks in, say, Superior Drummer 2 to select them how do I then get them ALL to switch to the Drum Buss??  I tried clicking Drum Buss on one of them but that just changed the one track.  We're having a snow day here so I'm liable to be just chock full of questions today as I'm having a "gawldang it, I'm gonna fix that" day:-)

NEVERMIND ABOUT THE DEFAULT INSERT SETTINGS...I FOUND IT...UNDER INSERT MULTIPLE TRACKS.

STILL NEED MY OTHER QUESTION ANSWERED THO.....

    1. Right-click on an existing bus and choose Set as Default Buss.

    2. Ctrl+click on a parameter in one of the selected tracks and choose an option. That same change will be made in all selected tracks. This is the way Quick Groups now works in X1.

Select the bus you want to be the default, right click, select "make default bus"  (I'm not at my DAW but it's worded something like that).
EDIT:  if it's not in the right click context menu, it may now be a "tab" in the view.
It only works after you've made the change.

If you want to change a bunch of tracks (anytime), just CTRL click on each track #, then hold CTRL while you change the bus or output assignment on any one of the selected tracks.  Keep holding CTRL though  (this is in X1 not 8.x).

    Thanks Scott and ba_midi,

I too was wondering hos this was done because I had to change the settings of mutiple tracks at once and track by tracks changes in X1 was driving me crazy.

I needed to change the track outputs of 10 tracks and I hated changing each output to a seperate out.

    Thanks again guys,

    Peace

    Peace,
