Consolidated Laptop Setting Bug Checklist Sonar X1 UA-1010 + Mbox2 Please Make Suggestions

PLEASE ANYBODY ADD OR SUBTRACT FROM THIS LIST!

Things I manually did to get X1 working on Windows 7...most you can find using Start "search" under the lower left Windows 7 icon:

I5 2.5ghz Windows 7 Home Premium Administrator 4GB Ram 64bit

Hardware:

1) Disabled laptop soundcard and codecs Device Manager
2) Disabled all wireless network adapters Network (including WIMAX adapter)
3) removed all auxilary USB attached devices (make sure your keyboard or mouse isnt interfering with UA1010)
4) Utilized 7200 rpm external drive for projects (i use the shortest USB cord possible)
5) Disabled finger print reader Device Manager (used internal USB, updated caused conflict)
6) Disabled webcam and drivers (do not remove, it rauto-detects it and reinstalls/turns back on)
7) Defragmented hard drive

Comp
Settings:

1) Set computer to not allow sleep mode Power Options (make sure these settings match up in both locations where you can adjust)
2) Set USB ports for optimal performance, always on (power doesnt cut off to usb then)
3) Set graphics to 16bit color Display Options (had issues with graphics drawing in Sonar)
4) Turned off Windows 7 Aero Themes (read it could create graphics conflicts)
5) Turned off all mouse shadows Mouse (graphics drawing issues)
6) Set advanced performance to "background services" System Advanced Performance
7) Turned off Windows automatic updates Msconfig Services (messed with some usb driver that froze Sonar)
8) Disabled Anti Virus Software Msconfig Startup
9) Turned off file indexing (I read about this for PT, just did it as precautionary)
10) Performed Disc Cleanup, removed temp files (also set memory dump to kernel)
11) Changed monitor display size to standard (see my previous post)
12) Disabled IE8 in windows settings (another carryover from PT)
13) Disable Notifications in Notifications Area icons...got a popup while using Sonar
14) Disable desktop widgets that reach out for realtime updates (weather bug, etc)
15) Disable Remote Assistance in System (gateway for remote access and trojan viruses)
16) Keep hard drive "always on" when laptop is plugged in

Misc:

1) Ran UA-1010 power cable to different outlet than laptop to eliminate a ground hum
2) I also plan on modifying the internal electronics to replace electrolytic caps with metal film in the analog section PCBs
3) Experiment with different USB ports if you have issues...some share power with embedded devices, etc
4) Full system line conditioned to stable 120v source (there were some noise issues with my house)
5) If you used PT in the past, make sure to disable Digi services, Ilok, etcc and indexing (the run from startup)

Any other suggestions or additions welcome.
