Can't Select Keyboard in Midi Devices

I have Sonar 8.5 and a Akai MPK49 keyboard and for some reason when i open Sonar and go to Options and Midi Devices and select the MPK49, and hit ok.  When i click back on Midi Devices the keyboard is deselected.  This is rendering my keyboard unusable.  Someone please help.  Thx
