It's settling down upstairs

I've just noticed tonight (UK time) that the 1st page of the X1 forum is staring to look a bit sensible, mainly questions about X1 commands, features and the like. More like the Sonar 8.5.x forum one floor down.

Has peace broken out from all the spleen venting, or is it a temporary lull ?

Bapu has stayed out of it (for now).

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I'm not so sure!  Twigman just got banned for being "over the top" in one of the X1 "complaining" threads.  (he accused one of the reviewers of being paid by cakewalk)

On paper it seems just plain impossible plausable ridiculous.

Yup I replied to Twigman in his new temporary guise, unfortunately he may have crossed the line there.

Nevertheless, it took a lot less eyeballing to see some real X1 operational stuff on page one tonight, even Mr Strummer getting in there with a marker query re keybinding.

It has more than one meaning here too, in fact it is a word you can bung just about anywhere.

    In English

    1. Bung = a plug or stopper.
    2. Bung = (inf) casually throw.
    3. Bung = (inf) bribe.

No. 3 actually being a derivative of 2 where something is sent somebody's way as a deal sweetner.   The bribe, sweetner or 'that which is bunged', has become 'the bung' in this definition.
