Automation not Working with FX Delay PE8.5

Hello Everyone,
 
I'm using SONAR 8.5 Producer (8.5.3) and for some reason when I insert FX:Delay into the effects bin of one of my tracks, place an envelope in the track and turn on the read automation it doesn't work. I have the effect envelop turn down on my guitar track until a certain point at the end of the riff where I want an echo, but once SONAR reaches that point where the envelope should bring up the MIX OUT volume it does nothing. It's as if I don't even have automation turned on.
 
PLEASE NOTE: ALL Automation works great on every track in my mix except for this one plug-in in my guitar track. Can't figure this one out. HELP......
And Yes, I have clicked the "RD" button; it's ON!

    Hi,
     
    I believe that I had the same problem with that plugin while trying to do the same thing a while ago.
     
    The only way I could get it to work was to use the scissors tool to place a cut directly before where I wanted the delay, and another cut directly after.  Then I inserted the delay as a "clip" effect instead of a "track" effect, and it worked exactly the way I intended.
