Remixed an old tune

For the heck of it, I remixed an old tune that you might like. It's a hard tune to mix because there's 3 guitar parts that are played with a mini-jumbo... which I don't have to tell you is the bassiest kind of acoustic there is (I think). On top of that, you have an actual bass, the kick and a deeper snare from a vintage rock kit. It's basically frequency-clash hell! ;)

But it's been over a year, and I really haven't done much as far as music these days... so I just gave it another go to brush up on some mixing skills.

    First off 20+ views and no responses,  I feel for you.  
     
    About the song,  I like the tune.  It was very enjoyable to listen to and held my attention.  I especially liked how you changed things up @ 1:28 A refreshing change in the style of the lead guitar part.

    I listened to both mixes as I don’t recall ever hearing the tune.  I apologize as I’m listening on PC speakers so take my comments with a grain of salt as I don’t get much opportunity to listen in my studio as my DAW is no longer allowed on the NET.   Anyway there is a marked difference between the two mixes.  The drum kit sounds sooooooo much better as does the  guitar sound.
    Great job on the new mix.  Thanks for sharing.

    Hi James, well played and recorded. Nice to hear a pure acoustic guitar tone for the lead.If there is one thing I'm not sure about is the timing of the lead guitar , could be a bit "looser" imho.Good Job.
