X1a - Guitar Rig4 pro

GR4 sometimes the guitar rig effect stops working. one minute it's a sonic beast, the next a flaccid flop.
Anyone else have that happen, or know what might cause it to stop?
 
I tried restarting the Audio Engine.
I have several GR4 effects on different tracks and their still working.

    Do you have a rigKontrol hooked up? This happened to me on playback with the rigKontrol still activated. Not sure why. But, I disconnected it via the GR interface and the playback was consistent. If it's happening during record, it could be a latency issue.
