When do we get a new patch for X1?
It would be nice to have someone from CW give us something to hope for. Only if it's just letting us know they are working on it. Jus sayin'.

I was expecting it before NAMM, but it's really too late for that now. You can bet they will be running a new version at NAMM though, and I'm sure we'll get some feedback at NAMM about it.

I think they've already told us there would be some patches released and they will release them when they are ready. At this point I think they are going to be cautious so they don't get accused of rushing something out the door.

I won't do the searching for you, but I know when X1a was released they specifically said that they were working on an X1b. Also, when the ASIO issues required the hotfix, at the time of the release it was noted that it was a quick fix to get something out before the holidays and that they would be working on something more after the holidays. I don't know about you, but I pretty much view that as "letting us know they are working on it". I suspect that anything short of hourly progress reports and a projected timeline will be unsatisfactory for some people. Jus sayin'.

Well I don't think an hourly report is necessary or asked for. Just some recognition and response to the people who are trying to use a flawed program. Don't think that is asking too much!

I don't know where I heard it, but I believe they are targeting X1b for February. But I have no idea of what is being addressed. GUI scalability (eg. better use of space on a laptop screen) would be nice.

The end of Feb. for X1b from what I read somewhere on this forum. They are hard at work on it. They have kept us posted on the updates so far so I think they are doing a great job.

It would be nice if Cake officially stated it somewhere... I don't know, maybe a sticky in the X1 section of their forum? But I guess that's just cRaZy...

Yes we are working on X1b. We don't have a firm release date but my understanding is that we are estimating sometime in February. As more details emerge we'll let you know.

AT I guess that is official. Is everyone happy now? How soon to people wanting an exact list of bug features to be fixed? Yes very. Cake has historically been extremely tight-lipped about updates, something that's been stressful for several different reasons. Getting a hint of when to expect one is absolutely great news, so I see plenty of reason of joy. As for your second point I don't see anything wrong with that either. Of course an "exact" list is probably not even possible, if not just unrealistic, but certainly wanting to know if certain issues are on the docket is not inconceivable. Some companies have quite public bug-tracking systems where you know when a fix for that specific problem is coming, after all. When X1 came out Cake said they were hoping to move to a process where smaller updates came out more frequently for the product cycle, which I think is great. At the very least, is seems like a great approach for X1 since there's a few bugs and user-peeves that are quite high-profile and I would think they'd want to quash 'em fast.
