Hi again
Let's try something. Firstly, check you haven't clicked the 'Mute' button on the track/buss you are using as an output and also that you haven't Muted a track that is routed to the master buss. If not, try the steps below.
- Unplug your UA-1G and shut down Sonar LE. Now switch your UA-1G to 'Advance Driver Mode' (if it isn't already set to this) and ensure that the 5 little recessed switches on the back are switched downwards - when the writing on the back is the correct way up.
- Plug your UA-1G into your PC (or MAC). Does it get recognised?
- Run Sonar LE and go to your Audio Options. Incidentally, are setup to using ASIO? If set up for WDM or MMS then change to ASIO.
- Can you see your UA-1G listed in your Audio Options along with your PC's soundcard? If not, run the Wave Profiler. Watch and see if it detects the UA-1G along with your PC's soundcard. If so then the UA-1G should show up in your I/O lists. You may need to restart Sonar for it to take effect.
- If all the above is correct and you have routed tracks to a Master Buss and the meter isn't moving, make sure you have routed what you need to go to it correctly. If on the other hand, you have a normal audio track that you have chosen your UA-1G as an output on, make sure you are gettign an input signal or that you have definitely got something recorded on the track you are attemptign to output.
When you say monitoring, are you using the headphones? Make sure your volume on the side of the UA-1G is turned up. If not using headphones and using the RCA Output, then I have a silly question but I have to ask it. Are you definitely using the RCA 'Outputs' and not using the 'Inputs' by mistake?
Let me know how you get on.
