can anyone help with X1,X1a, asio install on XP 32bit?

I'm having a issue with X1 32bit.  I installed 32 bti on my 32 bit machine (xp) and I got to open a test prodject.   It sucessfully installed X1  dem pro and the add content.  ( i uninstalled dem pro before  my inital X1 install)  it crashed shortly after i tried to adjust the latency.  I then remembered to install the X1a.
I also use asio so I installed the hotfix after X1a.   now I can't open  any of the X1 versions. the asio version says it is missing the TTSlame.dll    and the X1,X1a do nothing but pop up the "send to microsoft"  box.    any ideas as to what the heck I did wrong?

I have the 64 bit on my phenom (64 bbit win 7) and was giving a shot at the 32bit version/machine (xp) with hopes of the majority of the issues being a 64 bit / win 7 problem.

after the asio install, I cannot find the asio setup file. now,  the only thing in the asio folder is the X1 icon.  I tried copying the asio icon into the "pdr" spot   and  tried copying the TTSlame.dll into the asio folder so no avail.     i'm out of ideas..    any thoughts?

 thanks in advance guys..
