pentagon 1 and x1pe?

hello all,
after receiving a suggestion yesterday that i should use pentagon1 to create a particular sound that i'm looking for, i attempted to insert it as a soft synth and got a message saying that it failed to insert and may not be properly installed.

is pentagon 1 included in the x1pe package or has it been stopped since 8.5?

thanks for any info.

The easiest way to get around the problem is to launch X1 as an administrator.  Then the synth will load correctly.

If you search this forum and the X1 forum there is a more "permenant" fix out there, I just can't remember the thread at the moment.

If you right click on the icon you will get a list of options, one is to "Run As Administrator".  Try that and it should work for you.

Btw, you might have to upgrade to the Amiga 128, but I can't confirm or deny that.

You might also try disabling the UAC but it will decrease the security safety of the system.
