This says it has a 7200rpm in it.

ohhey It's USB, do you really think the speed of the drive is going to matter ? It can still only go at USB speed. I think it will matter because it takes a LOT longer to backup a variable speed (5400 - 7200 rpm) WD Caviar Green HD to an external 7200rpm hd than it does to backup a 7200 rpm WD Caviar Black HD to an external 7200rpm hd. Just sayin.

Well, the last thing I want is glitching if the drive can't keep up with the demand of streaming samples directly from it, so my limited knowledge suggests to me that I should go for as high a speed as is possible. ANYWAY - drive now bought, installed and running. I haven't copied anything over yet, I'm sort of thinking about an overall disk management strategy, you know, what best to use for what. It'll be a while until I can legitimately persuade "her indoors" that a brand new machine is required, so I'm going to make the best of what I've got. It's not that bad, just 3.5 years old - disk space is the only cause for concern currently, and it now totals 320GB + 320GB + 1TB + 2TB = 3.640Gb, so now it's down to me to manage it properly. And of course, the externals will form part of a new setup in any case, so it's not money down the drain later on.

Yes, get a voltage regulator and the extension cord and can control speed on the amount of electricity that you provide. Like a light that is on a dimmer, the light is not special, it happens all the juice. Oh, I should mention that you get a box for the switch. make things easier and less expensive for your problem. Therefore, no damage to the router.

Programmable spindle speed and the ability to easily change the spindle speed, cutting tools is another important factor is the completion of CNC machining centers. Spindle speed to adjust quickly through the program so that the best speeds and feeds for a given tool is easy to maintain a constant surface speed recommended for the tool in the spindle.

I think the last 3 posters are probably clones of each other. And thanks for dredging up a 2 year old post which is now totally irrelevant as I have a totally different system
