SOLVED Kontakt 4 problems

I am having problems when mixing with kontakt loaded with Steven slate drums. As I load more plug-ins to my tracks and hence have to inrease my audio card (ua101) buffers I am finding that kontakt player start dropping some of the beats that are playing. If I bounce to clip then there is no problem. However I don't want to bounce to clip as I am still mixing, so this becomes a real PITA. I have a modest dual core system with 4 gigs of ram. windows 7 64. I should say that other than kontakt all other tacks are purely audio and there are only max 8 per project. very modest. I guess this mostly happens when I put plugs on the master bus VC64 and the LP plugs. Your thoughts much appreciated. VMT

    You use the LP plugins?

What happens if you use something else?

No expert here but when mixing isn't it OK to increase buffers until you get no drop outs, because latency is not an issue at that stage? For me the LP plugs take a lot of juice but they're nice.

Just as an in, I have not noticed this with kontakt, but I don't use SSD so I don't know if that has any thing to do with it.

Sooooo, after all this time of having this issue it was the midi buffer size, it was set to 300ms instead of the default 500ms. All sorted now and problem gone ..... Yay
