New - old Original Take my love

I lost the source files in a crash a while back? This one is a couple of years old... I've learned a lot since then, so the mix is different. I can't remix it because all I had was the MP3? So I was going to re-record it? But I kinda like this version :-) So I hope you do too!

Mixed in the cans, but I'll spare you the visual this time since it's a Christian rock song? LOL!

It's actually God speaking to you, rather than vice versa? So it's a little different take on things. And you can hear that if you listen to the words, which of course you should, because they tell a story, and it will touch you (no I'm not going to talk about touching you because as I said, this is a spiritual song?) I'm not really an in your face Christian? But I am a believer (and no I'm not going talk about being "in your face" because this is a spiritual song.)

It's at the top and "it will bless you."

Take my love.

Of course with some very minor modifications, it could just as easily be a sound track for an erotic film?

Good stuff . . . strong chords, melody and lyric. I kept waiting for the drums to kick in – silly me. Love the rhythmic guitar chording. Cool tune Robby – well done.

Yeah I don't know, I go back and fourth on it :-( the mix is years old, and I've learned so much since then. But I don't tend to revisit projects very much, so we'll see.

Nice one Robby.  Good melody, lyrics, and your singing sounds great.  I was waiting for the drums also but it might be good to keep them out --- you know kind of hook of anticipation???

You know, speeding it up is exactly what I was considering if I re-record it? And everyone seems to agree that the drums need to break in somewhere :-) But you were first. Thanks very much for listening and commenting (in an environment where so many refuse to do so)

MGH, I agree with you 100%, this recording is a few years old? And while still no James Yoyo? I'm better than I was then, so I may take another stab at it, because I really like this one. Thanks for listening, and for commenting :-)

Thanks Herb, it's difficult go go wrong with a song about God? (no offense to anyone, please, my personal opinion) I still would like to cover "Fall down on your knees" one day :-) I really like that song of yours.

Freddy, thank you very much, it seems like everyone was hearing the drums in this but me :-) Which means? I'm wrong (big enough to admit it sometimes...) So if I redo it, it will have HUGE DRUMS! Drums everywhere! A VERITABLE DRUM CORPS!! ARMIES OF DRUMS!!! Kit drums, tympani? And cowbell, oh yes, there will be cowbell, and in no small supply! hahahaha. Thanks, I appreciate it.

This seems very different for you and I like it! Personally instead of drums I would do a djembe or something becuase it has kind of a 60s hippie vibe to me. It's got a great feel and comes across very natural and un-forced.

Real pretty song, Robby, and well played and sung as always.  I think Terry commented that he could hear it up tempo a bit, and I can hear that too.  It's fine where it is and how it is, but if you do go up tempo, then maybe it would be time to consider drums.  Just some thoughts.

Phil, yeah it's "nagging at me..." It's at 92 bpm right now and I'm thinking about doing it at about 100... But it's going to be a complete re-record because I don't have any of the source material! From now on I'm going to back that thang up (like that 1st long night in prison... :-( Oh the pain, oh the humanity!! )

Nice song Robby, great vocals as always.  If you do end up re-recording this, I wont hassle you about adding drums like the others...but maybe a little bongos??..yes bongos!  Tell me you dont hear bongos in this, atleast in a few spots

I thought I had commented on this tune, but evidently my post didn't take, or I forgot to hit the post message button.

This has 60's sound but instrumentally and vocally.  Nice job on the string arrangement.  It's easy to do a string arrangment, it's something else to make it sound right, and this one sounds as it should.  Vocals are spot on as always.   Neat twist on the angle of your message.

ps - I did NOT use a HARMONIZER on my latest tune.  In fact I haven't even turned it on in over a year.  So my harmonies, good or bad, can be blammed on nothing but me.  I tried to send you a private message but it said you rejected me.  I'm rejected a lot in my life   I'm used to it.
