How to play Orchestrator plus (.orc) files in Music creator 5

I have many, many voyetra orchestator plus files (extension .orc) from my old PC (Windows XP)
I now have a Windows 7 machine and have purchased music creator 5 to interface with my sound system and with my casio ct-670 keyboard.
I developed many, many instamental tunes with the old orchestrator plus software, and had them play simultaneously through my sound card midi and my casio keyboard. I got some awesome sound via this program.
I have already ordered a MIDI in/out to USB cable set.

How can I get these great .orc recordings to play in Cakewalk's Music Creator 5 ?????

Thank you for any help.

I'm not an expert on this, but according to a short googling Voyetra Orchestrator is an independent sequencer, not a VST or such.

If you can not rewire it to Music Creator, there is no way to play the .orc- files in Music Creator.
They are different programs and have different file format. As simple as that.
I found a comment:"Bad side: No plugin support, no cross-platform compatibility." So my guess is you're out of luck.

perhaps there is a convert or export function in the Orchestrator program that allows you to export the tracks as either WAVE or MIDI.

Those are the 2 main formats MC5 likes to work with. You can also load MP3 files as audio, but working in mp3 is not as good as Midi or Wave....

check for an "export as" function somewhere in the old program.

Re-reading your post made me unsure of whether the sound of your old projects came from the Casio or from Voyetra. Your praising the sound made me automatically assume the Voyetra was producing the sound with soft synths.

If that is not the case, what Guitarhacker said might be your rescue. I assume you don't have the Voyetra installed and working in your present PC?? If you have, you can try to export or convert the projects to MIDI.
If you only have the orc-files, nothing else, your only hope is to find a conversion program or see if Voyetra is still available.

If the quality of the sounds is THE THING in this, and they came from your Casio, then you can of course re-create the projects.

If you can rescue the projects in some other than MIDI format (wav or MP3), then you don't have the editability of MIDI, obviously.

In your other thread about this same subject that you started for some unknown reason, you say

"1. Is there a MIDI cable that will connect my CT-670 from the keyboard in/out to my Windows 7 64-bit PC via a USB connction?
    2. Is there software that will run on my machine that is similar to the Orchestrator Plus software that will recognize my existing MIDI files and my Casio CT-670 instruments?"
      .
Now you suddenly have MIDI-files?? In your original post you say you have .orc-files!?

    1) Yes there are MIDI to USB cables. In your post number one you say you ordered one already, and now you ask if those cables exist???

    2) Most music making applications support MIDI. All Cakewalk sequencers included. But they don't support Voyetras orc-files. The instrument sounds of your Casio are inside your Casio and need not be recognised in any particular way. You can play them with the MIDI-data sent from a sequencer, and then record them through the Casios audio output and your soundcard to, say, Music Creator.

If you can export the files as MIDI you can use the softsynths in MC5 to play them. THat will sound so much better than using the casio to play them.
