Desktop Logo Missing from X1

I've even updated to X1a. Still no LOGO.  All the other programs and shortcuts on my desktop have logos. X1 is the only shortcut that has no logo.

It has the old Windows screen on it.  There is no big Green X! The installer does for the program does! The update to X1a does! But the program itself does not!

Hmmmm. Is there a fix for this? Should I just deal with it? Certainly it isn't a showstopper but I'm very particular about things not being as they should.

    right-click the shortcut, choose "properties" - the "change icon" button lets you select whatever icon you like

    That's pretty strange that you didn't get the proper icon. Did you install in a folder other than the default locations?

    My X1 icon disappeared from my desktop.  Now I can't find
    the .exe program so that I can put the shortcut back on
    my desktop.  Can anyone help me by giving me the name
    of the X1 essentials program?  Thanks!

    P.S. I looked under Cakewalk, X1 and essentials when I did a "find".  Nothing showed up.   I added  .exe to the filename and the only programs that showed up were old cakewalk files.

    X1  DID work and sound played fine when I installed it a few days ago but then disappeared yesterday.  I just can't figure out what's wrong.

    CAN ANYONE give me a simple answer on how to import a midi file into Sonar X1 so that I get the right sounds from Cakewalk instead of from my midi keyboard.  That's ALL I WANT right now.  Obviously, it's not user friendly in my opinion. 

    I think I'm running 64 bit but I wasn't given an option.
