New songs from Relic. Need opinions!

Hello! I'm still touching up my mixing skills and I wanted to see if I was headed in the right direction. I've posted about this in the past and I know I'm getting better but some opinions of people that matter more are always good! Thanks! I posted the new stuff onto the reverbnation site.

Mix sounds pretty good. A little thin, but clear.  I would recommend investing in or using some pitch correction software, as it is just out of tune in a few spots.

Also the vocals during the verses could stand to come up a hair.

Gates of Hell and I'm a Monster are good tunes.  I can definitely hear the Alice Cooper influence.  The mix itself sounds like some of the older Cooper songs too.  I agree with Jamesyoyo that it sounds a tiny bit thin, but I feel like that's giving it a unique feel.

I like "I'm A Monster" the best. Songwriting-wise it's strong all the way through especially the vox line in the verses.

I would LOVE to hear the same guitar, bass, and drum sound you had on "Forget Me" used on "I'm A Monster." "Forget Me" had a more raw, but balanced backing track sound to it.

The bass drum and bass guitar should be punching you in the chest when turned up! If not, there are all sorts of ways to get that overwhelming, in your face sound.

Alright! It seems I'm on the right track! I think I'll experiement a little more with EQing the bass line to get a more tweaked sound. I can probably add a little more punch to the guitars EQ. I wanted to make sure they weren't interfering with the kick and bass or getting any frequency buildup problems. I had to learn that stuff the hard way before. Thanks for the honesty so far!

Careful spending a lot of time doing that... you WILL discover, if you haven't already, sometimes it's better to start over with better quality tracking.

Very cool stuff with definitive influences!!! Thanks for sharing!

I think you might want to try to up the bass a little and the mix seems a little harsh on the high end....

Vocals seem a little strong or up front at times....

You guys are talented!!! Strong performance by all!

Good rock arrangements. I like 'Alone' the best. The vocal harmonies and chord structure in the chorus is the sweet spot of the track.
The lead vocalist sounds best in 'Alone' as compared to the other songs. With that said, some vocal training and practice could sweeten the vocal pot.

I'm a Monster is good, there are some timing issues for the band at the stops in the intro. The singing isn't my taste.

The Gates of Hell started with some good chord progressions. The organ was a thin sounding - would like more of a Jon Lord B3 sound there. The singing isn't my taste.

Overall, the production isn't too bad. If the performance and vocal issues were improved on, it would help the present production be even more likable.

    Thanks,

    -D
