Tori's song

Hey guys-
I put a little music to a home video recording of my little niece and nephew as a xmas present, (age 1 and 8 respectively).  She is cute as a button, unfortunately I can only post the music here and not the video.  There are some leveling and mixing things I may go back and change if I ever get time, but you know how deadlines can be...and xmas seems to just sneak up every year.

hope you enjoy

It's very pretty... I can tell a lot went in to this. A lot of emotion. Is that a taylor cutaway I spy you playing "outdoors?" The orchestration is pretty, sounds like EWQL Gold. People who've never trying to "write a score" cannot appreciate just how much work goes in to it... It is non-trivial. I really enjoyed this.

Thanks Robby, yes its a Taylor.  I hated to bring it on the beach and play the gig under the hot South Carolina sun, but it was my buddys wedding, I couldnt say no to the gig.  You are also correct on the EWQL, thanks for the listen I'm glad you enjoyed it.

    hey Mike.
wasn't sure what to expect, but now i hear, i see...! strings sounded a bit thin at first, but once the woodwind kicked in everything became much clearer and more convincing. nice composition.

to get to that extra level i think you need to make the soundstage even more convincing, at the mo it sounds like a studio piece - whereas when you listen to Ron (rolifer)'s work it sounds like a live orchestra - unfortunatle i wouldn't have a clue how a becomes b! your music is definitely worth spending the time on, though!

    I agree...I think it's magic. (what Ron uses)  :-)

Very nice composition.  Yes, it could use a little work to make it sound ever more 'real' but don't ask ME how either.  lol  I like it!  Ah...nice piano at 2:00 too.  :-)  I really like the strings with that.  What are you using for the piano sound?  I almost want to say it could be a little warmer, but I'm prolly just being nit-picky.

    Lovely!

Beautiful piece Mike!  Fits really well with the kid's voices in the background.

Couple of those dynamic 'hits' almost took my ears off tho.

Are you liking all this snow in these parts???
