Albert's Back

As Janet noticed in another thread, I am "back". And I want to send out a special thank you to everyone of the forum members who posted well wishes, and especially the prayers offered in my behalf.

I just went to two doctors this week, and both the ear-nose-throat doc and the radiologist/oncologist doc gave me a clear bill of health. And a healthy bill...

It seems that as far as they both can tell from a purely physical, hands and eyes exam, the tumor is completely gone. Due to the extensive radiation I was subjected to they cannot send me through a scan yet, my whole neck and head are still vibrating like a micro-waved hot dog, so any scan would throw up a false positive for another month. The feeding tube comes out next week, but I have been eating normal for almost a month now. Still not 100%, but much better.

Due to this most recent experience, it seems like this was the third or fourth brush with death since I turned Forty, I will be making efforts to remain as calm as possible in my response to posts, keeping my opinions to myself, avoiding arguments stuff like that....unless, of course, the subject matter is political, at which times all bets are off.

And thanks again, everyone. I hope y'all never need to find out just how much help the kind words and prayers of strangers can provide, but trust me, it means so much...

Later
Albert

Welcome back. I've only been hanging around here for a few months, don't know you at all, but I'm glad to hear everything is going good.

I got a few months left till I hit 40, now you got me worried.

Albert, I'm glad to see you up and about these days! I hope you continue to get better. I've had my own problems lately and can relate seriously to what your talking about.

Man, take it easy, don't rush things along. I almost made that mistake myself. Just take it easy and wait until they tell you your ok.

Your right, don't get upset, don't let things bother you. I know that's easier said than done, but when you stop and think about it : The things that bother you shouldn't because most of them are out of your control, that's why they bother you. Whatever happens is going to happen. I think you know what I'm talking about there.

I'm glad to see ya back man!!!! Take it easy and continue to get better!!!!

Good to hear from you Albert.

And coming from one that doesn't always agree with your opinions I'm sure glad you have them and are prepared to put yourself behind them and get them out there.  So lets hope you get yourself fighting fit again in short order.

Can you imagine what it would be like if we all agreed?  Something like Tellytubby Land comes to mind. Ugh!

You are one of those that always manages to show respect for those whose views are in opposition to your own, and who can ask for more than that from anyone?

So I'll keep sending them positive wishes, or prayers (I can't tell the difference between the two things btw) your way.

    Keep taking care of you!

Oh, come on.  I'm not sure I can believe that....  And it would be way too boring anyway if you did...

Glad you're up and running and ready to cause trouble again.  Sorry it had to hurt so badly.  :(

Bub, Albert's been around helping us newbies for several years.  When I started recording a little over 3 years ago, he was my biggest cheerleader, when I needed it the most.  He and several others spend countless hours in the Music Creator forum helping those of us who haven't got a clue what we're doing.  He also helps other artists mix and master their CD's.

He also mastered my Christmas CD last year and seemed put out when I sent him a small check for his efforts.

And he tries to pretend he's the world's biggest curmudgeon, when I think he's probably closer to a big teddy bear with a few opinions, most of which I usually agree with.  :-)  You can count on things getting interesting and a few feathers getting ruffled when he throws in his two cents.  But it's nothing like what goes on upstairs!!
