Ice Comet Storm on the Sun

A series of 'ice comets' crashing into the sun could presage an even bigger comet to come...

Well see, the sun would be way too hot during the day.  That's why I figured they'd have to go at night, lest they melt first.

I guess I believe it then, cause we have about 6 inches of ice shavings on the ground right now and more is coming tonight... :-)

It happens all the time. The frequency of the hits was the unusual thing. Whether it would cause a collision with earth with a larger comet is pretty vague.

...yeah, I kind of doubt that we'll be in a collision course with that...be interesting to see just where it will be though up there.

I guess the last one, Ikeya-Seki, was so bright that, in Japan, they could even see it during the daytime....

I like how 3-4 times throughout the article it talks about the larger comet that  may be coming, because the smaller ones we've just seen are really a part of it.....   Then at the end,   ehhh.... we think?  We have no idea if there were lots of little ones before the last big one because in 1965 we lacked the telescope technology.... so to recap.
Everyone should worry about this, though we have no real grounds on which to base our theories. Thank You.
