fader port

I can't get my fader port to load up in 8.5? It is in the middy file but not in the control surface list

    I bought one and could never seem to get it working. I think there are some out there who got it to work, but I tried everything I could and gave up, switched it for an Alphatrack and life is good. I know this doesn't help your situation but I thought I would share my experience. Ken

    My Faderport works fine with Sonar 8.5 on Windows 7 64-bit. Though with 64-bit there is some fiddling with DLL file registration needed.

    Which OS are you using?

    PE 8.5.3,  Windows 7 Pro 64-bit,  i7 920,  GA-EX58-UD4P,  6gb Corsair DDR3,  2 x Barracuda 500gb,  HIS Radeon GS-4670 Fanless 1gb DDR3, dual 24" monitors,  Axiom 61,  Korg Triton Pro,  Focusrite Saffire Pro 40,  VG-99,  Yamaha MSP5,  Fostex PM0.5

    I was unable to get mine to work with Sonar for more than a day at a time.

    It would install fine, then it would work & then it wouldn't work.

    I did numerous uninstalls & re-installs

    Sometimes the lights would work, sometimes they wouldn't.

    Some times only some lights would show, & some buttons would work.

    Then, after way too many re-installs when I finally thought it was all good, the thing would stop working yet again.

    I thought, "I should be recording instead of f**king around, shouldn't I??"

    So I returned it while I still could.
