Apparently, I signed up... it's obviously free because I don't pay for any musician/songwriter/song plugger services. (I am member of TAXI however)
I don't recall sending them a song but I must have ( I send music to so many places it's hard to keep up with them all) and I don't think they are publishers.
I received a very detailed review/evaluation of the one song I placed in my account,,,,,, from "their" point of view.
IIRC they also get "opportunities" from time to time that you can submit to.... I don't know the details about the costs involved in submitting...... but I do remember placing them on the "back shelf" behind TAXI music.
Taxi has tons of real opportunities on a weekly basis. When I looked through Hello Music, there were only a limited number of opps there. A normal TAXI listing has hundreds at any given time across multiple genre's in two main groupings. Taxi has a yearly membership fee (2 levels) and a per song submission fee.
Just poking around in the HM site..... there's some out of pocket cost involved in some of the submission stuff.... the one I happen to see was actually pretty steep for what the opportunity was..... IMHO. (Getting your music into (up to 20k) jukeboxes across the country..... starting at $100 with a Premium package for $300) (What?)
Go there, sign up, and check it out. If nothing else.... it would be a good place to get your songs evaluated in a detailed manner to see how they stack up compared to the commercial music of the same genre.
