OT: Anyone Have a DAT Player?

Hello--

I want to transfer some old tunes and ideas I had years ago but they are on DAT. I got my DAT player off the shelf and it powered up for one day and now it won't power up. This is a one time transfer of data, so paying to get it repaired or buying a used one doesn't seem worth it.

If anyone knows where I might be able to find a place that would transfer them to CD or ? for me, that would be great. Long shot I know. Not really Sonar -- I know, but I had to ask.

Thanks,

I have a Tascam DA-30 that might still work. I haven't powered it up in a while.  I'll check it out and let you know. I'll be glad to do it for free.  Good news. I checked it out and it's working great. Man I love the headphone amp in that thing... might be the only reason I'm keeping it. LOL !
